If this is your first time purchasing Moyao lace thread, please be sure to read the following information!

  1. Moyao’s lace yarn has an average twist of approximately 30% higher than DMC. The higher twist may cause the yarn to curl, but because it is tighter, the yarn will be thinner than other yarns of the same size and will not fray even after repeated crocheting and undoing.

The “curling” and “softness” of lace thread have a contrasting relationship.

Adding more lotion can improve the condition, but it can also worsen the pain.

Moyao uses premium cotton with a high denier value to improve the feel while reducing the use of processing agents to achieve a balance. However, because it is difficult to precisely control the amount of processing agent during the manual addition process, especially when dyeing different colors, some yarns may still exhibit slight curling. This will not affect the overall smoothness.

High-denier cotton raw materials effectively improve yarn quality and minimise tangling problems.

  1. The weight of each wooden spool varies, and each bundle of thread may have a difference of approximately ±8% in evenness. The weight is also affected by moisture regain, so it may fluctuate, but the length of each bundle of thread is fixed.
  2. Because lace thread requires singeing and mercerising, it is divided into 250 g strands during processing and stretched under tension in the machine. Otherwise, the lace thread will lack lustre.

Therefore, there may be at least one knot in every 25 skeins of lace thread. During the skeining process, the tension device will catch most knots in Moyao lace thread, but it is still possible that some knots may not be filtered out.

If you find knots in the skeins during use, please contact Moyao for a refund of 30% of the price.

  1. The tension of the tensioner during winding may cause the spools to be different sizes.
  2. There may be color differences between each dye batch, which is currently unavoidable. Customers who are particular about color should ask customer service to provide real photos for reference.
